Join the fight today! Clean Water Action is a statewide organization with over 205,000 members in Michigan and a national network of campaign organizers, local groups and allied organizations. We have a 36-year track record of organizing winning campaigns on key issues affecting people, water, waste, toxins and the environment. Our purpose is to promote environmental action at the community level and to create a voice for communities throughout Michigan. RESPONSIBILITIES As part of our campaign staff, you would organize communities around environmental issues. Responsibilities include one-on-one communication, fundraising, dispersing information, and good record keeping. Hours are Monday through Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm (3 days minimum). BENEFITS From this opportunity, you will receive extensive training on environmental issues including regular seminars, training in the legislative process and the political arena, and you will develop people skills and organizational skills. You will be working as part of a highly motivated and dedicated team who are interested in your personal development. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS We look for candidates who work effectively in teams or independently, possess excellent oral and written communication skills and are goal-oriented with strong attention to detail.
