Japanese bone Okimono of the God Daikoku.
He is considered to be the god of wealth, or the household, particularly the kitchen. Comes with divine protection and good luck in businesses.He is recognised by his wide face, smile & flat hat. He is portrayed holding a mallet called 'Uchide no Kozuchi' otherwise known as the mallet of fortune, and is seen carrying a bag of rice signifying plentiful food. Signed twice on base. Probably Meiji Period
