Refrigerant Prices in India
According to Indian Petrochem analysts, the domestic Refrigerant gas market saw a slight upward correction this week. R-134a prices in Delhi moved up to Rs.654/kg, compared with rS.650/kg in the previous session. Market participants attribute the price rise to steady demand from the automotive air-conditioning sector, coupled with limited domestic availability. Firm transportation costs and higher global input prices are also contributing factors supporting the Delhi market. Globally, the R-134a market is undergoing a structural transition. While demand growth continues in developing economies, developed regions such as Europe and North America are actively phasing out the gas in line with environmental regulations. The push towards low-GWP alternatives is reshaping the market landscape. At the same time, new trends are emerging, including stronger adoption of reclamation and recycling practices, as well as innovation in retrofit technologies and smart monitoring systems. These factors are enabling industries to gradually reduce reliance on high-GWP refrigerants while ensuring operational efficiency. Industry experts believe that while India may witness stable to firm prices in the near term on the back of downstream consumption, the long-term trajectory will increasingly be influenced by global sustainability initiatives and the availability of substitute gases, Refrigerant Prices in India, Indian Refrigerant Prices, Indian Prices Refrigerant, Indianpetrochem. #RefrigerantPricesinIndia #IndianRefrigerantPrices #IndianPricesRefrigerant #Indianpetrochem
