Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $17.00 / hour. What you'll be doing as a General Helper: • Perform general site clean-up • Move, load, or unload materials • Assist in light construction if necessary • Remove debris and trash from work site • Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training • Use equipment, depending on the jobsite/assignment • Operate press equipment. • Process laundry in plant established lot order. • Maintain production floor distribution. • Shake, sort by route and sequence by route while laying out items prior to pressing. • Classify and lay out items for pressing. (For example: Industrial shirt versus executive dress shirts) • Separate soil pick-up ticket • Check for needed repairs on items • Lift garments and/or linen onto line storage system • Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up. • Load trollies into trailers. • Insure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times. • Additional duties as assigned • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Available shifts: Shift timings -1st Shift (Day) Job requirements: • Strong work ethic • Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time • Able to work in all weather conditions • Able to lift light to heavy objects • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. • The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
