Yank Barry Awarded 2010 Gusi Peace Prize | |
Yank Barry, chairman of Global Village Champions Foundation, today was awarded the 2010 Gusi Peace Prize for International Humanitarianism and Philanthropy. The world learned that Jewish humanitarian Yank Aaron Barry was awarded the 2010 Gusi Peace Prize. The Jewish humanitarian has spent much of his life to saving the lives of war victims in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The Jerusalem Post dubbed Yank "the Jewish Schindler" for his efforts. His efforts have saved more than 1,400 lives, irrespective of the victims' religion or background. His work has included helping people of all backgrounds to get medical care, housing, nourishment, and safety. | |
