The Inside Sales Representative role with Metal Sales provides an opportunity to learn about the metal manufacturing industry while working alongside our Territory Sales Managers and other branch personnel. An Inside Sales Rep is trained in a variety of sales skills with the goal of fast-tracking the individual into an outside sales position. As ISR, you can earn $45-$60k annually with growth potential of $75k+ in approximately a year when ready to take on an outside sales role. The role is based in our Mocksville, NC branch and supports regional customers. At times, outside sales activities will be required. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial attitude, the ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment, strong communication skills, be proficient at regularly turning quotes into sales, and promoting/supporting our online ordering platform. You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to): Driving the adoption and ongoing promotion of our online ordering platform. This includes customer identification, support and training, marketing, and overall strategy. Managing the follow-up on all branch sales quotes to improve closing ratios. Being the primary contact for a dedicated customer list and performing various inside sales activities such as calls, appointments, customer service etc. Recording sales activities in our CRM system. Soliciting new customers and partnering with Territory Sales Managers to improve contacts among key and target customers. Job Requirements: The most qualified candidates will have: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving abilities Experience in a dedicated customer service and/or sales focused environment (inside sales or outside sales) and experience utilizing a CRM tool Building products, specifically roofing products, knowledge is preferred, but not required The ability to travel up to 25% of the time locally/regionally to perform outside sales activities NetSuite ERP and quoting software experience a plus, knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required Associate degree or higher preferred, HS degree or equivalent required What Metal Sales can offer you: Challenging work environment with a stable privately owned company Opportunities for skill set expansion and career growth Competitive pay with overtime and monthly bonus potential Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage (effective after 30 days) Paid time off and paid holidays (effective immediately) 401K with company match Wellness program We appreciate you reviewing our opportunity and look forward to receiving your resume!
