In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the New York, New York area. Major responsibilities • Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment • Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization • Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers • Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans • Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks • Confirm documents and codes • Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP • Communicate information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders Requirements • Great attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills • 5+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable • Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy • Strong familiarity with account reconciliation • Practical knowledge of fund administration • Pension Funds experience • Adeptness in pension administration • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrated knowledge of Benefit Functions • Account reconciliation experience • Pensions experience preferred • General familiarity with benefits administration • Knowledgeable of ERP systems • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
