Mid-level Designer Archinect · Los Angeles, CA (On-site) About the job Bestor Architecture Employer Los Angeles, CA, US Pay: Bestor Architecture’s Designer is part of a collaborative team of architects and designers. T his person will provide expertise in all phases of project development—schematic design through construction administration. Duties and Responsibilities In collaboration with the broader team, design and execute multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion, and potentially lead smaller-sized residential and commercial projectsWork closely with the project team, consultants, contractors, and agency officialsProduce presentation drawings, diagrams, and renderings using Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative SuiteAssist Senior Designers/Project Managers with project management responsibilities, helping to ensure client satisfaction, service quality, and financial performance Assist Senior Designers/Project Managers with establishing and monitoring project budgets and schedulesResearch materials, products, and building systems throughout the design and construction phases, With an understanding of architectural advancements and trendsIn coordination with consultants, produce full set of construction/working drawingsParticipate in client and consultant coordination on larger projects and serve as primary client and consultant contact on smaller projectsEnsure fulfillment of all contractual requirements for professional services on smaller projectsProvide informal feedback and some direction to Junior Designers and Interns; serve as a mentor, resource, and guideQualificationsProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch. or M.Arch.) from an accredited institution4 or more years of experience in progressive, design-focused firmsExtensive experience working in one or more of these areas: commercial, residential and/or institutionalLicensure candidacy preferredExceptional design sense with strong graphic and technical skills (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite) Fluency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite programs; experience creating presentation materialsMotivated, independent, flexible, and cooperative problem solver with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skillsAble to take direction and initiative with minimal Supervision Authorization to work in the U.S.Strong benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance Paid vacation and holidays401K plan with employer matchingProfit sharing plan (dependent upon profitability) and bonuses given for strong performance and contributionWeekly lunches providedThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
