The costume is essentially a suit made of a mixture of Stark-grade graphene and Wakandan vibranium. This makes the suit extremely durable, while also incredibly flexible. The suit also features a pair of black gloves, a yellow tiger stripe on the shoulder and a red “X” buckle. When Wolverine was resurrected in the alternate reality of Giant-Size X-Men, he decided to abandon his traditional spandex suit in favor of this more rugged look. The new outfit consisted of a brown and yellow suit with a matching pair of boots. The cowl was also much longer, evoking the look of DC Comics’ Batman. This version of Wolverine also wore a red and blue belt, which was an obvious homage to his classic yellow and blue costume. His claws were also re-designed, which gave the impression that he was wearing weapons on his hands rather than using them to attack his enemies. The Ultimate Universe was a darker and more grounded world than the original Marvel Comics continuity. This was also reflected in the costumes of the X-Men characters.
