To take on Superman, director Zack Snyder needed a hulking version of Batman. The costume was heavily inspired by Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. Batman Begins After the colossal disappointment of Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin, the Batman & Robin franchise was revived with this film. While it retained a lot of what made the character successful in the past, this version also made some changes that changed the character's look and made Batman less campy and more grounded. The suit is now designed in a slimmer and tactical style. It comes with an experimental wingsuit that is activated by pulling a ripcord contained in the cape. Bruce Wayne can glide through the city, and scare criminals. The costume comes with armor with shell plating and a belt to store weapons. The mask and cowl let Batman to conceal his identity while scaring off enemies. | |
