Harvest Time Is Upon Us, Time To Get Ready For The Season!
I love to see all the pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns followed by our wonderful pumpkin pies and breads. The colors and landscapes of October, Oktoberfest, and Halloween and so spectacular! A lot of preparations start for the holiday season to get us in the spirit. Some special shopping, housecleaning, decorating, and cooking. It is fun to watch the neighborhoods, schools, and shops get ready, and we all catch the spirit – schools have programs, and plays; churches have bazaars and festivals. The traditions and family ties get into gear and motivate us. Christmas is the time to celebrate family and friends, with good times and gift-giving. Keeping it simple doesn’t apply here! Gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas makes me both excited and exhausted at the same time. Tis The Season-best of times for reminiscing, for making lists and checking them twice.
