The PeopleReady located at San Jose, California, 95118 is currently hiring a PR 1394587/Executive Chef Job Description Executive Chef PeopleReady of San Jose, CA is now hiring Executive Chefs.This position is responsible for successfully executing menu items for winery events as designed by theExecutive Chef. This part-time or full-time non-exempt position reports directly to the Sous Chef andtakes direction from all culinary leadership positions with key interaction with members of everydepartment. Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $20 - $23 / hour What you'll be doing as a Executive Chef: • Uniformly and efficiently execute final execution and plating of salads, entrees, appetizers and • desserts and buffet items based on the design of the Executive Chef • Setup, breakdown and clean-up/sanitation of satellite kitchen and corresponding areas • Take specific direction on food preparation and presentation • Maintain proper organization and rotation of all food storage areas • Remove and organize all food items from the catering van upon its' arrival • Report inventory levels of food items to the Executive Chef • Work quickly and efficiently in a face-paced environment • Work in offsite kitchen to prepare menu items and assist with other culinary tasks when • required and assigned • Exemplify Testarossa Winery core values to fulfill the mission • Perform other related duties as required and assigned Available shifts: Shift Timings - All Available Job requirements: • Minimum 1 year kitchen experience or equivalent culinary education • Must have current ServSafe and/or California Food Handlers Certification • Must possess valid driver's license • Safe knife skills • Health & sanitation knowledge • Ability to work effectively in a team • Must be proactive, have a sense of urgency and a positive attitude • Respectful and effective com • Must be available 2-3 evenings per week, plus holidays and weekends • Walk, stand, bend, kneel, and reach frequently for the duration of the shift • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently • Handles sharp and hot tools regularly • Frequently utilizes cleaning chemicals • Drive to/from the offsite kitchen in San Jose to the Winery in Los Gatos, as needed • Background check required Ready to take control of the way you work?
