Every Special Child is currently seeking a passionate Special Education Aide/Behavior Therapist to join our dedicated team, providing top-notch services to the community and ensuring quality education for children with special needs. Job Responsibilities: •Assist the teacher in supervising students during various activities, including classroom sessions, physical exercises, field trips, art projects, and special events. •Provide instruction to special education students in reading, language arts, mathematics, and other subjects, either individually or in small groups. •Prepare students for lunch or snack periods, including setting up, cleaning up, and assisting those with eating challenges; instruct students in appropriate table manners. •Support the teacher in setting up work areas, preparing instructional materials, operating audio-visual equipment, and participating in special programs and activities. •Contribute to maintaining the health and safety of special education students by being attentive to the environment and potential hazards; follow established guidelines and procedures. •Assist students with personal hygiene, when necessary. •Perform other related duties as directed by the teacher or supervisor. Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent. Associate of Arts degree or higher. Job Type: Full-time | |
