Pay Rate: The pay rate for this job is $17 / hour What you'll be doing as a Traffic Flagger: • Work with team to establish safe movement of traffic around work zone, in accordance with safety regulations and/or Department of Transportation regulations • Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead • Take ownership of work zone and pass vehicles safely • Place signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices- duties will vary according to job assignment • Respond to emergencies as directed and perform tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies • Capable of working undetermined number of hours, days/nights, possibly weekends. • Will help load/unload trucks with equipment, set-up signs, cones, etc. around work areas to divert traffic and pedestrians. • May also direct motorists by flagging them away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic. Available shifts: Shift Timings - All Available Job requirements: • Work outdoors in all weather conditions • Communication skills required - Traffic Flaggers remain in constant contact with the crew • Remain in a stationary position for long periods at a time • Traffic Flagger Certification Required • Must have at least 1 year of experience.
