What is JetBlue’s flight cancellation policy? [Updated 2024]

Like JetBlue, it's hard to find an airline that guarantees customer comfort. So, when you cannot board the plane on the scheduled date and know it before departure, you can easily cancel your flights. JetBlue's flight cancellation policy allows travelers to request cancellation of their unused portions of tickets, with no minimum fees or charges. Based on 2022 data, here are the basic conditions for JetBlue cancellations:

You can cancel the JetBlue reservation online or make offline requests for refunds based on your fare terms and conditions.
The airline only refunds tax amounts for non-refundable fares and provides the ticket amount as travel funds, i.e. future travel credits. (Maximum validity - one year)
Your future flight credit reservations are non-refundable.
If the cancellations are involuntary and due to flight delays, you can view JetBlue reimbursement for delayed flights and take action accordingly.
Refundable ticket cancellations allow refunds on original payment forms; even if the airline sends you a travel credit, you can get a refund.
The rest of the policies depend on the type of fares you have, when you cancel, and your destination type.
Cancellation fees range from $50 to $250 depending on your rate type.
