WestJet Airlines is a Canadian airline that serves most countries and provides the convenience of direct flights to most destinations. And if you want to travel, you can easily book flights online or by calling the booking helpline number. Also, many passengers change their mind at the last moment and therefore keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, WestJet Airlines has issued some flight cancellation and change policies. These are the key rules to consider when requesting a cancellation of a WestJet flight: All Econo, EconoFlex, Premium and Business fares are allowed a one-time cancellation waiver. This rule also applies when requesting WestJet flight changes. Basic fares are not eligible for a one-time exemption. The change or cancellation request must be made more than 24 hours before departure. After canceling the flight, the unused portion of the airfare will be returned to your Travel Bank credit. WestJet's standard cancellation fee will apply if you cancel within 24 hours of travel. If passengers have a ticket on the same day of booking, the airline will not charge WestJet any cancellation fees. These passengers will receive a full refund from the airline. If passengers cancel a WestJet flight online on the day of the flight, they will forfeit the entire ticket amount and the airline will not provide any refund. WestJet's cancellation policy clearly states that passengers who cancel a flight more than 24 hours after purchasing the ticket will be required to pay the WestJet cancellation fee. The airline allows passengers to cancel their reservations 72 hours after the flight departs. What is WestJet's 24-hour cancellation policy? WestJet Airlines cancellation policy allows 24-hour cancellation for passengers within 24 hours of booking the flight without incurring cancellation fees. These are the conditions under which passengers are eligible for free cancellation within the 24-hour period: The flight must be operated by WestJet The flight must have a departure time at least seven days prior to the time of cancellation. Passengers who book a flight and then cancel within 24 hours will be entitled to a full refund of their airfare. No WestJet cancellation fee will apply. WestJet's 24-hour cancellation would apply to both refundable and non-refundable fares. The Westjet flight cancellation rule within 24 hours would not apply to group bookings (itineraries that have more than 9 passengers). | |
