Established in 1946, Dhaka Medical College (DMC) is Bangladesh's first medical college. Currently, the country boasts 37 government and 72 private medical colleges offering MBBS programs to both local and international students. Affiliated with seven universities, four are government and three private. These universities conduct professional examinations in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Government of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) serves as the regulatory authority for MBBS in Bangladesh, overseeing all affiliated medical colleges under the strict supervision of the Ministry of Health and BM&DC. | |
