Tradespeople, fabric manufacturers, and sourcing agents alike have reacted swiftly to the increase, which is prompted by a combination of rising demand and decreasing supply. Due to its strength, durability, and dye absorption, Duty Pure Polyester Yarn Grade T20S is utilized extensively in the textile industry. It is a preferred raw material for producing shirting-suiting fabrics, hosiery, undergarments, home furnishings like curtains and bedsheets, and is also commonly used on power looms and automatic looms. India Petro Chem notes that due to its consistent quality and cost-effectiveness in comparison to cotton yarn, this grade of yarn has gained particular popularity among small-to-midsize apparel units. India Petrochem's most recent analytical report outlines all of the contributing factors to the unexpected price rise. The first and most immediate cause is the seasonal surge in demand triggered by the onset of the festive season. During the month of July, clothing manufacturers increase production by placing large orders for yarns, particularly high-utility items like Duty Pure Polyester Yarn Grade T20S. This increases consumption but reduces availability in the local market. A second factor highlighted by India Petro Chem is the recent rise in global raw material prices, particularly PET chips — the primary input used to produce polyester yarns. Manufacturing costs rise in tandem with chip prices, which have an effect on wholesale yarn prices. India Petro Chem also points to logistics and supply chain issues caused by the ongoing monsoon season. Delhi's inbound stock flow has been reduced as a result of heavy rainfall in key producing states like Gujarat and Maharashtra, which has put pressure on availability. According to India Petrochem field research in Delhi's most important textile hubs, Gandhi Nagar, Shahdara, Karol Bagh, and Lajpat Nagar, daily demand for Duty Pure Polyester Yarn Grade T20S has increased by more than 15 percent in the past week. Some bulk traders have begun stockpiling in anticipation of further price increases as a result of this sharp increase in demand. As a result, pricing has entered a volatile zone, with short-term fluctuations likely to continue until supply and demand balance out. Experts at India Petro Chem forecast that if logistics disruptions persist and demand remains strong, the price of Duty Pure Polyester Yarn Grade T20S could breach the Rs.195/kg mark in the coming days. However, rates may gradually fall by mid-July if monsoon conditions improve and transportation routes stabilize.
