This yarn is made from viscose staple fiber, a regenerated cellulose fiber known for its silk-like appearance, softness, and high moisture absorbency. The 20/1 count denotes a moderately fine yarn commonly used in the making of women’s ethnic wear, viscose kurtis, dress materials, scarves, linings, stoles, and decorative home textiles. The combed grade undergoes an additional refining process that removes short fibers and enhances smoothness, strength, and durability, making it preferred for higher-end garments. The upward movement in price is attributed to a pick-up in seasonal demand from garment hubs like Surat, Jaipur, and Delhi NCR, where weaving units have resumed bulk procurement ahead of festive production cycles. Simultaneously, there’s been a slight firming of viscose raw material prices, driven by global pulp supply constraints and rising energy costs. Traders also indicate a moderate reduction in yarn availability due to delayed deliveries from southern mills affected by monsoon-induced transport delays. In terms of market outlook, prices are expected to hold steady or rise slightly further in the coming weeks, provided buying sentiment continues and raw material prices remain firm. However, if downstream orders slow or if international viscose prices ease, the market may stabilize. Overall, sentiment is cautiously optimistic, with buyers actively monitoring both raw material trends and festival-linked demand patterns.
