India Fully Drawn Yarn climbs as demand heats Up. Fully drawn yarn (FDY) grade 75D/72F has seen a Rs. 3 price increase in Ahmedabad, rising from Rs. 117 on 30th July to Rs. 120 on 31st July. Fully drawn yarn, known for its high tenacity and uniformity, is extensively used in making fine-quality fabrics for apparel, home textiles, and warp knitting. The 75D/72F grade indicates 75 denier thickness with 72 filaments, offering a smooth texture ideal for lightweight and durable textiles. The price rise in fully drawn yarn in Ahmedabad is attributed to strong demand from the regional textile weaving industry and slight upward movement in raw material costs, particularly PTA and MEG. Ahmedabad, being one of India’s largest textile hubs, has seen increased processing activity ahead of the festive season, boosting demand. With continued momentum in fabric production and stable global oil prices, fully drawn yarn prices may remain firm or rise slightly in the coming weeks. Pure market sentiment and demand surge are keeping fully drawn yarn in focus for traders and manufacturers alike.
