In the Mumbai textile market, the price of spun rayon grade siro R30S witnessed a decline on 27 August 2025. The product, which was quoted at Rs.171 per kg on 26 August 2025, slipped by Rs.2 to trade at Rs.169 per kg on 27 August. According to market sources and India Petrochem, the downward movement comes amid weaker buying interest and cautious demand in the weaving and knitting segment. Spun rayon siro R30S is widely used in the manufacturing of knitted fabrics, woven shirting materials, dress materials, home textiles, and fashion apparel. Its soft texture, high absorbency, and smooth finish make it a preferred choice for both domestic textile mills and apparel manufacturers. As per India Petrochem market feedback, reduced inquiries from downstream industries and sufficient stock availability in Mumbai have contributed to this minor price correction. Traders also indicate that global sentiment and raw material costs are influencing the local rayon yarn market. Stable international supplies and subdued festive demand at present are keeping prices under mild pressure. India Petrochem further notes that while short-term softness is visible, steady demand from the apparel industry could bring stability in the coming weeks.
