Pipeline projects India
The pipeline projects in India are central to the country’s energy transition, ensuring efficient transport of oil, gas, and petroleum products across vast geographies. According to Indian Petroplus, India is rapidly expanding its pipeline network to enhance connectivity between production centers, refineries, LNG terminals, and consumption markets. This growth supports the government’s vision of a “One Nation, One Gas Grid” by 2030. India currently operates more than 33,000 km of natural gas pipelines, with another 15,000 km under construction. Major ongoing pipeline projects in India include GAIL’s Jagdishpur–Haldia–Bokaro–Dhamra (JHBDPL) pipeline, Indian Oil’s Paradip–Hyderabad pipeline, and GSPL’s Mehsana–Bhatinda and Mallavaram–Bhopal–Bhilwara–Vijaipur corridors. These projects aim to expand gas access to new regions, improve supply reliability, and promote industrial and city gas development. Indian Petroplus reports that upcoming projects are not limited to natural gas; product pipelines for LPG, crude, and petrochemicals are also being prioritized. This integrated infrastructure will reduce transportation costs, enhance safety, and minimize environmental impact compared to road or rail logistics. Additionally, digital monitoring systems and real-time leak detection technologies are being adopted to strengthen operational efficiency and safety compliance.Pipeline Projects India, Indian Pipeline Updates, Oil Gas Pipelines India, PipelineTenders India.
