Endovenous Laser Treatment
Endovenous laser treatment (EVLT or EVLA) is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a laser to treat varicose veins by heating and closing them from the inside. It works by inserting a thin laser fiber into the affected vein, which then heats the vein walls, causing them to collapse and seal shut. Blood is then redirected to healthy veins. The procedure uses ultrasound to guide the laser fiber and is often done on the same day as a "walk-in, walk-out" procedure. ![]()
